The Humane Society for Southwest Washington shelters more than 14,000 animals every year. With all those hungry mouths to feed, the donation of even a single bag of dog food is extremely helpful. We can accept donations of un-opened dog, cat, puppy and kitten dry and wet food. We also accept food for pocket pets (guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, bunnies, ferrets, etc.) and birds. When the generosity of our community is running high and we have enough food for our shelter animals, we continue to accept food donations for our Lend-A-Paw program. Lend-A-Paw is a community pet food distribution program designed to help keep families together by providing monthly pet food assistance. For more information about the Lend-A-Paw program or to find out how you can help, call the Community Programs Office at 360.693.4746.
