Chief is not currently at our Adoption Center. Please email [email protected] to learn how you can meet this wonderful dog.Say Hello to Chief! He is such a happy and handsome boy. Chief is our most recent GRADUATE from our Larch Pet Training Camp, an Humane Society prison-partnership where inmates train shelter dogs to be well mannered family members. Chief is smart and he is so eager to please! He now sits, downs, stays, walks nicely on leash, rolls over on cue and more. He LOVES LOVES LOVES people and has escaped in the past to go find dog or people friends rather than stay by himself. So he needs a family that is around most of the time. He is sleeping quietly at night in his crate and has been resting quietly crated for up to two hours on his own during the day. But mostly, he wants to be with you. His favorite game is fetch - he can chase a ball for hours. He enjoys other dogs and he has a physical rough-n-tumble play style. He will do best with a larger dog who enjoys or tolerates active play and a home with a securely fenced yard so he can safely stretch his legs and play. Please no attached housing units. Chief is an affectionate, loyal guy who will welcome you with a wagging tail and that endless love only a four legged friend can give. He needs a home with no kitties or children under the age of 10. Another large friendly dog in the home might make him more comfortable while you are gone. Remember, Chief is still enjoying time at our Larch Pet Training Camp. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in meeting Chief. More than anything, he wants to find his forever home. Could that be yours?
