Something for everyone

HSSW volunteers are an integral part of our organization, providing more than 100,000 hours of service every single year. That's a lot of dog walks, cat socials, adoptions, surgeries and plenty of stocking and sorting at ReTails Thrift Store! If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of shelter animals, volunteering with HSSW is a great way to start.

Monthly Orientations

Sign Up for an Orientation Today!

The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend a volunteer orientation, where you will learn about our programs; volunteer opportunities; highest needs; policies, scheduling, and other important information when considering volunteering with us. It’s a way to estimate if HSSW sounds like a good fit for you. Volunteer Applications are available only to those who attend an orientation.
