It takes a village

Many hands make a big impact!

Group volunteers can lend their support to a variety of projects that may include shelter maintenance, service projects, helping out at ReTails Thrift Store or HSSW events like Walk/Run or Auction. Regardless of the project, one thing is certain: group volunteers make a difference for the dogs and cats. Group volunteer service projects may also include a facility tour and opportunity to learn more about HSSW.

Think your group might be a good match for a volunteer project at HSSW? Consider the following requirements for group service:

Group size should be a minimum of 5 and maximum of 20 individuals.
All members must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 hour shift.
Group members must be 14 years of age or older (Individuals under the age of 18 require a 1:2 adult-child ratio).
All participants must be physically and emotionally equipped for a variety of tasks.
Opportunities for group service are limited and may not be available for all inquiries.

Projects do not include group time animal handling or direct contact with the dogs and cats.

If your group is interested and would like more information about upcoming opportunities, please complete a group service project application and we will get in touch with you soon.
