Happy pets are healthy pets! Just like people, pets need regular visits to the vet to both treat and prevent illness. Important services like vaccines, microchips, and exams are available at HSSW. Learn more about our services.

  • Vaccine Clinics

    In partnership with Good Neighbor Vet, HSSW provides vaccination clinics at both our Adoption Center-Shelter and ReTails Thrift Store. Clinics operate on a regular monthly schedule.

    1st, 3rd (and 5th when applicable) Saturday, 1:00-3:00
    1st & 3rd Sunday, 9:00-10:30
    2nd Friday, 4:00-6:00

    ReTails Thrift Store
    1st Wednesday, 5:00-6:30

  • Microchip Services

    Microchips are an important peace of mind to help reunite families with missing pets. At HSSW, microchips are available at regular clinics provided by Good Neighbor Vet. For a full list of dates, locations, and times please visit goodneighborvet.com.

  • Spay and Neuter Services

    HSSW is home to Clark County’s first public spay and neuter clinic offering low-cost spay and neuter options for cats of low-income families. Funding for this program is provided as part of ASAP Metro - a coalition of local animal welfare agencies dedicated to making our community one of the safest in the nation for pets.

    Spay & Save services are by appointment only. Proof of government support or low-income status may be requested to ensure eligibility. Examples of this support include, but are not limited to: WIC, food stamps, Section 8, Medicaid, etc..

    Program Fees (per cat)

    Government Assistance: $15
    Low-Income Household: $30 (male cat) $35 (female cat)

  • End of Life Services

    Because we advocate for the humane treatment of animals, we believe it's important to recognize when a pet’s health is beyond rehabilitation. Our staff is here to provide compassion and care when making the difficult decision.

    This service is available by appointment only. Making an appointment allows our staff to make sure they are available to provide care and support. To make an appointment, please call 360.213.2621. We are unable to accommodate unscheduled requests.
