Licensing Fees

Clark County

In Clark County and its inclusive cities, it is required by law that owned cats and dogs are licensed.

As a licensing agent for Clark County, our staff is required to issue a license to any unlicensed animal being redeemed at our shelter. Licensing fees apply and include a nominal agent fee. Learn more about licensing at Clark County's Pet Licensing page or call 564.394.2489.

2026 Licensing

 

Licenses must be updated annually according to municipal code. Unless stated otherwise, lapses in renewal of licenses may result in additional fees. Proof of rabies vaccination is required for dog licenses.

Licensing may be done in person at the Longview Campus during regular business hours.

City of Longview

Dog Licensing:
Registration fee (spayed/neutered) - $30
Registration fee (not spayed/neutered) - $50
Dangerous/potentially dangerous dog registration fee - $100

Cat Licensing:
Registration fee (spayed/neutered) - $15
Registration fee (not spayed/neutered) - $20

Other Fees:
Late registration fee: $10
Tag replacement: $10
Exotic animal registration fee: $20

City of Kelso

Dog Licensing:
Registration fee (spayed/neutered) - $15
Registration fee (not spayed/neutered) - $35
Registration fee (dogs acquired or becoming an adult after July 1) - fee reduced by 50%

Dangerous Dog Licensing:
Potentially dangerous dog registration fee - $100 (After July 1 - $50)
Dangerous dog registration fee - $250 (After July 1 - $150)

Guard Dog Licensing:
Guard dog trainer - $50
Guard dog user (new) - $50
Guard dog user (renew) - $25
Guard dog purveyor - $250

Cat Licensing:
Registration optional - no fee

Other Fees:
Late Registration Fee: $20
Tag Replacement: $10
Replacement License: $3
Replacement Dangerous Dog Identification Collar: $23

City of Castle Rock

Licensing Fees:
Animal license (spayed/neutered) - $15
Animal license (not spayed/neutered) - $35
Semiannual license (after July 1) - fee reduced by 50%

Other Fees:
Late registration fee (spayed/neutered) - $30
Late registration fee (not spayed/neutered) - $50
Tag Replacement: $5

City of Woodland

Licensing Fees:
Animal license (spayed/neutered) - $50
Animal license (not spayed/neutered) - $60

Semiannual Licensing Fees (issued after November 1):
Semiannual animal license (spayed/neutered) - $20
Semiannual animal license (not spayed/neutered) - $40
